Service for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Logan welcomed Robert Friore, Klein Derias-Simon, Mary Addison, Kiara Garcia, Ali Merone, Daniella Bello and Dani Rodriguez, on Saturday, January 18th. The teacher and six students came from Loyola High School in New York City to generously volunteer their time with Urban Promise. We know that the free time of this teacher and his students was not something that they gave up without some thought, and what better way to give back during Martin Luther King Jr. Day than to spend the weekend in community service. They were such good sports! When asked to clean up the outside of the church in the freezing cold, they were only too happy to oblige. The rest of the time they spent cleaning the inside of the church. Their positive attitude was a credit to their families and school.
