Mark 11:10 Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in God’s name! Blessed the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in highest heaven!

Ever been stopped at a traffic light and see in the car next to you a person singing along with the song on the radio, moving with the music and full of passion? Ever been that person? A friend told me about taking her husband to a rock concert. After a few songs with the crowd on their feet the husband asked, “When do we sit down?” “In about three hours,” she replied. Oh to be so caught up in the moment that the energy courses through your body like lava and everything else recedes into the back ground. Maybe that was what it was like for the crowd on Palm Sunday as they shouted (or sang?) these words from the psalms to Jesus as he rode by. Jesus is arguably the greatest teacher in history. Still he came to engage not only heads but hearts. His kingdom is not solely that of the intellect but of the whole person- body, mind and spirit. May we sing along with gusto to the song of God this Holy Week!
