Ephesians 1:15 That’s why, when I heard of the solid trust you have in the Master Jesus and your outpouring of love to all the followers of Jesus, I couldn’t stop thanking God for you (The Message Bible)
Last Thursday was Thanksgiving and most of us ate a bunch and gathered with family and friends and did our personal Thanksgiving traditions which hopefully included somewhere along the line remembering things for which we are thankful. Paul numbered among the things for which he gives thanks those who have a “solid trust” in Jesus and who love the others in their community. Faith and love are not qualities which develop naturally in most of us. We learn them from those in our lives that show us what they look like, those who “walk their talk” and who focus outside themselves to the good of those around them. They are people in whom we see Jesus. This week, who are the people for whom you give thanks for the way they have passed on to you lessons of faith and love? How can you acknowledge them?
