Mark 12:38 As he taught, Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law.”

Can you name the Ten Commandments? Many people struggle to get all ten. The “law” the teachers of the law taught to which Jesus refers here are religious commands which also had some civil impact in that time. I can see where it might be helpful to have folks explain the Ten Commandments. Actually, there are 613 commandments in the Old Testament according to https://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/756399/jewish/The-613-Commandments-Mitzvot.htm. Now you really need an expert to navigate that many. Whether in medicine or computers or auto mechanics or religion, when they become so complex that you need an expert to get them right then you better get the right expert. Jesus knew that such expertise got and still gets abused by those who wield it. Not all, but enough. Who do you look to as an authority for the things of God? What expert helped you get your beliefs about such things? Even Jesus, a notable expert, warned us. We are responsible for the advice we accept. What do you need to watch out for?
